Crowned the World’s Best Sommelier at barely 30 years of age, François Chartier is today revolutionizing the world of oenology and cuisine. The year ahead promises to be exceptional for the man who is juggling several high-level projects, including the development of a new type of sake in Japan.

The “Createur d’harmonies” was recently invited to elaborate a new range of sake products in Japan. But his sakes are likely to differ from traditional styles, as Chartier is not afraid to transform the codified Japanese world of this traditional drink.

Chartier  revealed his latest sake project, working in hand with historic Tanaka Sake Brewer to create the first ever blended sake.
