Blending has always existed in the world of wine, champagne, sherry, port, or whisky, but not in the world of Japanese sake. François Chartier was the first to try the experiment in Japan, with the vintage 2017 of The Blend 001 Tanaka 1789 X Chartier, creating "The New Art of Blending in the World of Sake", and the results were spectacular! As he so aptly puts it, "the moment of blending is the moment when the soul of a product is embodied."
